Hacettepe University, adding a new one to its innovative studies, carried out an intensive work with a team of people from many departments of the University, who have experience and knowledge in this field and prepared Hacettepe University Gender Equality Action Plan (2022-2026) under the leadership of Hacettepe University Women's Issues Research and Application Center (HÜKSAM). The action plan, which was put forward by the work of six subcommittees, was accepted by the University Senate on March 10, 2022 and entered into force. A separate study was conducted for the years 2018-2021 and the current situation analysis of "Gender Equality in Numbers at Hacettepe University" was reported.
The "Impact Ranking" system developed by Times Higher Education (THE), the world university ranking organization, evaluates the strategies, policies and practices of universities in accordance with the main headings of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As a result of its efforts in this field, according to the results of the 2022 impact ranking, Hacettepe University has achieved the success of being the 25th university among 938 universities under the main heading of Gender Equality. In order to preserve this success and move it forward, “Hacettepe University Gender Equality Action Plan (2022-2026)” aims to present an important roadmap.
