Associate Professor Dr Şenay Akın, a lecturer in the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences, Division of Exercise and Sports Physiology, at our university’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, has been invited to join the Editorial Board of the journal Cardiovascular Drugs and Therapy.
Associate Professor Dr Akın, whose research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle atrophy, oxidative stress-induced cardiomyopathy and the molecular basis of the protective effects of exercise, will contribute to the journal’s editorial processes with her academic expertise in the fields of exercise physiology and cardiometabolic diseases.
This appointment reflects and reinforces our university’s international academic visibility in the fields of exercise physiology and cardiometabolic research.
