Associate Professor Dr. Göksel Güven, a faculty member of the Department of Internal Medicine's Intensive Care Unit at our university, has been awarded a PhD degree from Erasmus University (Rotterdam, Netherlands).
Associate Professor Dr. Göksel Güven, who works in the Intensive Care Unit, the Cardiology Department, and the Experimental Intensive Care Unit at Erasmus University, conducts research in the fields of microcirculation, tissue perfusion and oxygenation in critically ill patients, and cardiorenal syndrome. On September 5, 2024, he successfully defended his thesis titled 'Microcirculatory Alterations in Critically Ill Patients and the Effect of Venous Congestion on Kidney Function,' a 336-page book consisting of 16 chapters with 12 research articles published in prestigious journals in the field. As a result, he was awarded the PhD degree by a jury of experts recognized in the field.
