Hacettepe Children’s University Established From Hacettepe to Children: A World of Science, Art, and Discovery

Hacettepe Children’s University, which brings together children’s curiosity with knowledge and their dreams with science, art, technology and culture, has been established. The summer programme will take place at the Beytepe Campus from 10 to 21 August.

With its new project, Hacettepe University is extending the scope of the services it offers in the fields of education, health and culture to include children. The Hacettepe Children’s University project has been launched, enabling children to freely explore the questions that intrigue them, combine their imagination with knowledge, and experience the excitement of learning within a university environment.

Applications for the summer term are now open
Hacettepe Children’s University, which will run its first summer term programme from 10 to 21 August at the Beytepe Campus with over 70 activities across 12 different disciplines, aims to help children grow into inquisitive, questioning, creative and exploratory individuals. Registration for the programme is now open via the website cocukuniversitesi.hacettepe.edu.tr.

It is based on learning by doing and experiencing
Hacettepe Children’s University, which will bring children’s curiosity together with knowledge and their dreams with science, art, technology and culture, stands out with its educational programme based on learning by doing and experiencing. Aiming to give children the thrill of discovery and creation in a university environment, Hacettepe Children’s University seeks to inspire the scientists, artists and innovative individuals of the future.

“Hacettepe Children’s University aims to contribute to children’s development as inquisitive, questioning, creative and exploratory individuals through educational sessions, workshops and events organised in the fields of science, art, technology, health, nature and culture. In programmes based on a ‘learning by doing and experiencing’ approach, children will not only acquire new knowledge but will also experience the joy of asking questions, experimenting, creating together and discovering their own talents.

Hacettepe Children’s University will provide a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment that values every child’s curiosity and dreams. This initiative, which will help children forge a strong connection with science from an early age, will be one of the key steps through which Hacettepe University shares its body of knowledge with the community and reflects its sense of responsibility towards the future.”

The first summer programme will take place in Beytepe from 10 to 21 August
Hacettepe Children’s University’s first summer programme will take place at the Beytepe Campus from 10 to 21 August. Designed for children aged 8–13, the programme will offer participants the opportunity to take part in activities organised in the university’s eight R&D laboratories and various practical areas every weekday from 08.45 to 17.00. Covering a total of 12 different disciplines, the programme will enable children to explore their scientific curiosity, actively participate in research and production processes, and experience the university atmosphere at first hand.
