Hacettepe University has achieved another significant milestone in line with its internationalization goals. The University's application for Associate Membership in the European University Sports Association (EUSA) was evaluated by the EUSA Executive Committee and approved at its meeting held on 1 July 2026. As a result, Hacettepe University has been granted provisional Associate Member status.
With this approval, Hacettepe University has joined the network of 146 associate member higher education institutions from 26 countries within EUSA. This membership will enhance the University's international visibility in the field of university sports while providing its students with greater opportunities to participate in sports events across Europe.
Through its EUSA Associate Membership, Hacettepe University students will be able to participate in international university sports competitions under more favorable conditions. In addition, the University will receive priority consideration for hosting international sports and educational events organized by EUSA. This membership therefore represents an important step in strengthening Hacettepe University's international partnerships and contributing to sports diplomacy.
