Our university, which continues its research responding to the scientific and technological needs of the age, has earned the right to receive TÜBİTAK support with yet another new project. Dr. Onur Çağdaş Artantaş, a faculty member at Hacettepe University's Faculty of Law, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program for his project aimed at aligning investment law with sustainability principles.
The goal is to align investment law with the green transition
The project titled “Sustainable Investment Law: Developing Investment Legislation and Policy within the Framework of International Sustainability Goals and Standards” will last 24 months. The project aims to contribute to the development of investment law in Turkey in line with international sustainability goals and standards. Within the scope of the project, work will be carried out on a wide range of topics, from the foundations of international public law to the coordination of investment policies, the relationship between foreign direct investment and sustainability, and legal instruments that will facilitate access to green finance.
The project, which also aims to lay the groundwork for making investment law compatible with the green transition, is led by Dr. Onur Çağdaş Artantaş. The project team includes Dr. Onur Uraz, Assistant Professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Law, and Dr. Ekin Deniz İlhan, Assistant Professor at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law, as researchers; and Research Assistant Tarık Kıroğlu and Research Assistant Beyza Aktaş from Hacettepe University Faculty of Law as fellows.
