At the Academy Science Day and BAGEP Awards Ceremony hosted by Sabancı University on April 18, 2026, young scientists who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and show great promise through their scientific work received their awards.
As part of the Young Scientists Award Program (BAGEP), organized annually by the Academy of Sciences and considered one of Turkey’s most prestigious science awards, Hacettepe University was represented at the ceremony by three academics from various disciplines.
In the field of medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Hanalioğlu; in archaeology, Dr. Göknur Karahan; and in electrical and electronic engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Uyanık, once again represented our university’s scientific strength through their high-quality research. Our researchers received their awards from our university’s Research Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Lokman Uzun, and Research Coordination Office Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cem Bayram.
