The OPENRAM (Opening Research Assessment to Multi-Contexts) project, led by Prof. Dr Zehra Taşkın, a lecturer at Hacettepe University’s Institute of Information Sciences, has officially commenced. The project, which has been awarded 1.7 million euros in funding under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges call within the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, is scheduled to run for four years. The project aims to bring together researchers and institutions from Europe, Latin America and South Africa to contribute to making research assessment systems more inclusive, accountable and context-sensitive.
The four-year work plan was discussed at the kick-off meeting
The project officially commenced with a kick-off meeting attended by the consortium partners. The meeting covered the project’s objectives, work packages, researcher exchange programmes, joint activities and the work plan for the next four years.
Innovative approaches in the field of research evaluation
Within the scope of OPENRAM, innovative approaches in the field of research evaluation will be developed through researcher exchanges, international workshops, joint research and training activities. By bringing together the experiences of different countries, the project aims to contribute to rethinking scientific evaluation processes with a more equitable, transparent and socially responsible approach.
