Hacettepe University continues to build on its expertise in education and research in the field of communication with a new undergraduate program. As part of this initiative, the Faculty of Communication has launched the Radio, Television and Cinema Undergraduate Program. The program will admit its first students in the 2026–2027 academic year.
Aimed at addressing the needs of the communication ecosystem
Launched to address the needs of a communication ecosystem where digitalisation is gathering pace, new media technologies are transforming communication practices, and the production of audiovisual content is constantly evolving, the Radio, Television and Cinema Undergraduate Programme aims to train media professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies required by the modern age. Integrating traditional radio, television and cinema education with digital media, new communication technologies, content production across multiple platforms and creative media applications, the programme will provide students with a strong theoretical foundation as well as practice-oriented training.
Highly qualified media professionals will be trained
The program aims to train highly qualified media professionals who possess well-developed creative and critical thinking skills, are inquisitive, committed to ethical values, able to adapt rapidly to technological change, capable of producing content across different media platforms, and able to shape the evolving dynamics of the communications sector. The Bachelor’s Program in Radio, Television and Cinema is aimed at students who wish to produce content, plan content and manage creative processes in the fields of digital culture, digital publishing, audiovisual narrative, cinema, television, radio and convergent media ecosystems.
In a statement issued by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Communication regarding the newly launched bachelor’s programme, the following remarks were made:

As the Hacettepe University Faculty of Communication, we believe that the Radio, Television, and Cinema Undergraduate Program will add new value to our university's scientific and cultural heritage and provide our students with a strong educational environment on a national and international scale.
