Hacettepe contributes to international scientific output with its strong academic staff. Prof. Dr. Burcu Tarıkahya Hacıoğlu, a lecturer in the Department of Biology at our university, will serve as Lead Editor for the ‘Ethnobotany’ special issue of the journal "Plant Genetic Resources", published by the University of Cambridge.
The special issue of "Plant Genetic Resources" on “Ethnobotany”, titled “Ethnobotany in the 21st Century: At the Intersection of Disciplines”, aims to address the key conceptual, methodological and ethical challenges shaping contemporary ethnobotanical research. Further details regarding the special issue, for which the deadline for manuscript submission has been set for January 2027, are available online. The special issue will be published as Open Access. Hacettepe University Press and Cambridge University Press have a Gold Open Access agreement in place.
