World's most influential scientists announced

Stanford University published its research ranking the most influential scientists in the world on Elsevier BV. The research results, which were presented in two different evaluations as "career-long impact" and "year-based impact", took into account the researchers working in 22 main disciplines and 176 sub-disciplines.

The Stanford ranking includes many different variables that are taken into account in international academic performance measurements, especially the number of qualified publications according to Scopus data, the impact values ​​of the journals published, the number of citations, and the h-index.

208 researchers from Turkey, 15 from Hacettepe University, took place in the top 100,000 in the "career-long impact" ranking, which covers data up to the end of 2021.

448 Turkish researchers, including 15 Hacettepe residents, entered the "year-based impact" ranking, which only considers the data for 2021.
