Research article titled "Microtubule-associated protein 1B dysregulates microtubule dynamics and neuronal mitochondrial transport in spinal muscular atrophy" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gamze Bora, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biology of our university, and in the December 2020 issue of the journal "Human Molecular Genetics". published and the new mechanism identified in the disease was deemed worthy of being the cover image of the magazine.
