Hacettepe University continues to make a name for itself internationally with its work. Another achievement has been added to our university's international academic success by Prof. Dr. Murat Akova, a faculty member at our University's Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Akova has been deemed worthy of a lifetime achievement award by ESCMID (European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) as part of the 2026 ESCMID Awards.
ESCMID, which aims to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infections; to provide education, research, guideline development, and professional networking in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, seeks to promote knowledge sharing and multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of global health.
