ECMM Board election was held during the 11th “Trends in Medical Mycology” (TIMM) Congress in Athens scheduled on 20-23 October 2023.
Prof. Arıkan Akdağlı holds the honorary titles of “Fellow of European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases'' (FESCMID) and “Fellow of European Confederation of Medical Mycology'' (FECMM) and is a member of The Science Academy, Türkiye. From 2012 to 2020, she served as an Executive Committee member of the “ESCMID Fungal Infection Study Group'' (EFISG).
Prof. Sevtap Arıkan Akdağlı owns the Hacettepe University Science Incentive Award given in 1999, TUBITAK Incentive Award in 2005 and Hacettepe University Science Award in the field of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2020. She has published extensively in Medical Mycology, in the fields of antifungal drugs, antifungal susceptibility testing, resistance to antifungal drugs, and laboratory diagnosis of invasive fungal infections. As one of the leading scientists in the field of antifungal drugs, Prof. Arıkan Akdağlı is in the top 0.1% in ranking.
