Prof. Dr. Şükrü Halûk Akalın, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Letters of our University and a faculty member of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, was awarded the "Outstanding Service to the Turkish Language Award" for his services to the Turkish language.
