Hacettepe University ranked in the top 5 main categories this year, as it did last year. The most successful rankings within these main categories were in Natural Sciences with a score of 63.9 and a rank of 343, and in Life Sciences and Medicine with a score of 63.4 and a rank of 300. In the same categories, Turkey maintained its success by ranking first in Life Sciences and Medicine, and second in Natural Sciences.

Hacettepe University achieved rankings in 13 narrow subject in the 2024 rankings, just as it did in 2023. In the 2024 QS Rankings by Subject, Hacettepe University achieved a significant success by ranking between 101-150 globally in the Nursing field, making it the only university from Turkey to enter the rankings. Another field that entered the rankings for the first time this year, Economics and Econometrics, ranked between 501-550.
Hacettepe University improved its rankings in the Biological Sciences, Business and Management Studies, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering fields. However, it maintained its rankings from 2023 in Medicine, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Education, and Mathematics fields.

Evaluated in terms of fundamental indicators, Hacettepe University achieved the highest academic reputation score in the field of Chemical Engineering (score: 67.2), the highest employer reputation score in the field of Nursing (score: 73.0), the highest citations per paper score in the field of Medicine (score: 86.1), the highest H-Index score in the field of Pharmacy and Pharmacology (score: 82.0), and the highest international research network score in the field of Medicine (score: 62.2).
