The success of the students of the Food Engineering Department in the Shape D-Future competition

Hacettepe University Food Engineering Department 4th year students achieved a significant success in the Shape D-Future project competition organized for young talents by Döhler Turkey, which has an important role in the food and beverage industry. Undergraduate and graduate students from many universities applied to the competition, which was held for the first time this year with the slogan "Add new flavors to the future" and the theme of "plant-based food & beverage alternative product development". Our students Nevin Ebrar Kazkayası, Buse Şen and Ezgi Akyol, who focused on sustainable and healthy beverage design, were awarded the first prize with their project named “Date Iced Coffee” in the competition, the final event of which was held on December 15, 2022. Again in the same competition, our students Ecem Paçacıoğlu and Dilara Nur Başbozkurt won the second prize with their project named “Fishpea”.
