Assist. Prof. Dr. Ege Özgün from Department of Physics Engineering of Engineering Faculty recieved Tübitak 3501-Career Development Fund with his project titled "Theoretical Study of Exciton-Polariton Condensation in Epsilon-Near-Zero Cavities". In the project, a microscopic theory will be developed for exciton-polariton condensates in artificial cavities made up of epsilon-near-zero materials and it will be shown that compared to the conventional distributed Bragg reflector microcavities, epsilon-near-zero cavities provide an order of magnitude shrinkage in size.
