The results of the 2026 BAGEP, which has been recognising the achievements of young academics since 2013, have been announced. Researchers from our university have been awarded prizes in the fields of Medicine, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Archaeology.
The results of the 2026 Young Scientists Award Programme (BAGEP), run by the Academy of Sciences, have been announced. With these results, a further 37 awards have been added to the total of 513 awards granted since 2013. Hacettepe University has achieved the distinction of winning awards in three fields under the BAGEP programme this year. According to the announcement made by the Academy of Sciences, our university’s academic staff members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Hanalioğlu in the field of Medicine, Dr. Göknur Karahan in the field of Archaeology, and Dr. İsmail Uyanık in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering have been awarded prizes.
The BAGEP 2026 awards, supported by individual and institutional funding, will be presented to their recipients at a ceremony to be held at Sabancı University on 18 April 2026. Click here for details of the award programme and further information.
