QS World University Rankings 2023 Results Announced

QS World University Rankings evaluated 1,422 universities out of 2,462 applying this year. This number was 1002 in 2020 and 1300 in 2021. According to the results of the QS World University Rankings 2023, in which the results of the 2020-2021 academic year are evaluated, the number of universities in Turkey has increased to 24 this year.

The rates regarding the evaluation criteria are as follows:

• Academic reputation: 40%
• Employer reputation: 10%
• Faculty/student ratio: 20% (recognition survey, research income, research efficiency)
• Number of citations per faculty: 20%
• International academics rate: 5%
• International student rate: 5%

According to the results, Hacettepe University has been in a downward trend starting from 2016 and has been in the 801-1000 band in the last five years. In this year's country ranking, our university shares the 7th place with İstanbul University.
