Lecturer of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of our university, Assist. Prof. Dr. Instructor Orhan Torun, a graduate student of its member Seniha Esen Yüksel, won a travel scholarship given to two students by The Optical Society (OSA) Foundation. This scholarship is given to promising individuals in the field and provides the opportunity to attend meetings to improve their professional skills. With this scholarship, he will attend the Hyperspectral Imaging and Sounding of the Environment (HISE) conference with his work titled "Using k-way Normalized Cuts to Integrate LiDAR and Hyperspectral Imagery for Segmentation".
