Hacettepe University opened its new academic year with a special ceremony. At the ceremony, “Hacettepe Awards” were also presented to their owners.
Hacettepe University 2022-2023 Academic Year opening ceremony was held on October 24 at Beytepe Campus Tunçalp Özgen Congress and Culture Center. To the ceremony; Hacettepe University management and academics and Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, TOBB University of Economics and Technology Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sarinay joined.
Saying hello to the new academic year, Hacettepe started the academic year opening ceremony with a visit to Anıtkabir. Then, within the scope of the opening ceremony held at the congress center, a mini concert was given by the students of the Ankara State Conservatory Guitar Art Branch.
Making the opening speech of the ceremony, our university Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran shared the general situation of the university, its problems and plans for the future.
Our university's Climate Ambassador Elif Ayhan, who plays a role in Turkey's fight against climate change, also gave a speech to raise awareness about climate change.
Hacettepe Awards Presentation Ceremony
At the ceremony where Hacettepe Awards were presented to their owners; Hacettepe University Science-Science Encouragement, Art Encouragement, Community Service and Contribution to Education awards were presented to scientists who made a difference with their work.
The main purpose of the "Hacettepe Awards", which has been held since 1992, is to support the scientific studies of researchers and to share their superior qualities and achievements with the society.
