Hacettepe University is strengthening its power with a new faculty

Our university has taken another significant step to reinforce its pioneering role in science and its leadership in education. With Presidential Decree No. 10073 dated July 13, 2025, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences has been officially established.

As one of Turkey's most well-established and prestigious universities, Hacettepe University already holds a prominent position in higher education with its 16 faculties and 97 undergraduate programs. With the establishment of this new faculty, the number of faculties has now increased to 17. Through this initiative, the university has once again demonstrated its commitment to educating qualified individuals who can meet the demands of the digital age.

The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences will be structured to cover some of the most critical fields of our time, including information technologies, artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and software development. It will operate not only with a focus on academic education but also with a vision that prioritizes research and development, as well as industry collaboration.

This strategic move by the university aims to make a meaningful contribution to Turkey's digital transformation journey. Known for its scientific productivity, international collaborations, and advanced research infrastructure, Hacettepe University is expected to further strengthen its position in global competition with this new faculty.
