Gamze Kılıç, 2015 German Language and Literature Department Graduate, Faculty of Letters, who works as a German Language teacher at Ankara Fatih Anatolian High School, has given a very outstanding speech at the “Disabled Life Fair and Awareness Summit” with the invitation of the Minister of Family and Socail Services, Ms Derya Yanık.
The summit has been organized by the Ministry of Family and Social Services under the auspices of the Presedency of the Republic of Türkiye in the Presidential Complex. Ms. Gamze Kılıç, in her speech, despite her muscle wasting disease and trancheostomy due to her intubation during the pandemic period, has given detailed information about her experiences as a disabled teacher. She has achieved her strength, knowledge, manners and self-confidence as a result of her years at Hacettepe Universty, Department of German Language and Literature, at her minor and ERASMUS programmes . She has turned to be a role model and hope to many people. Her speech has been listen to and appreciated by by the Vice President Mr. Fuat Oktay, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mr. Mustafa Şentop and the Minister of the Ministry of National Education Mahmut Özer. We heartily congratulate her.
