The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has appointed 28 archaeological excavations carried out by foreign delegations within the borders of our country within the scope of the "Inheritance of the Future" project. Malatya Arslantepe excavations have been carried out by "La Sapienza" Universita Di Rome since 1961, and in 2021, UNESCO has been included in the list of World Cultural Heritage.
With the decision dated 11.01.2024, the Ministry appointed Dr. Halil Tekin as a "coordinator" for Arslantepe excavations. Dr. Halil Tekin has been the director of Kahramanmaraş-Domuztepe excavations since 2015 and will be coordinated with both projects.
