Asst. Prof. Dr. Alper Kumcu Joins Translation, Cognition & Behaviour as Co-Editor

Asst. Prof. Dr. Alper Kumcu from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Letters has been appointed as the new co-editor of Translation, Cognition & Behaviour, one of the prominent journals of the field published by John Benjamins Publishing Company.

The journal, whose advisory board is composed of leading researchers of translation studies, publishes experimental and theoretical research focusing on the mental processes behind cross-language communication within the field of “cognitive translation studies”. Cognitive translation studies is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of several disciplines including psychology, cognitive science, philosophy, bilingualism studies, artificial intelligence, and ergonomics among others.
