Four of our students won the Young Translators Competition

Four of our students won awards in the “13th Young Translators Competition” organized by the Presidency for EU Affairs and in which students from translation departments across Turkey competed.

Elif Nur Ceylan, a student from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Letters of our university, won first place in the English category. While Büşra Keleş, who competed in the same category, won third place; Nergis Çolak, who competed in the French category, won first place and Emirhan Kahraman won second place.

The Young Translators Competition, organized by the Presidency for EU Affairs since 2010, is carried out with the aim of increasing the awareness of young translators preparing for the profession regarding Türkiye’s EU accession process and contributing to the training of qualified human resources in this field.
