On the 55th anniversary of Hacettepe University, which was established on July 8, 1967, the members of the university senate and administrators visited Anıtkabir. The Hacettepe delegation laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum after the moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.
Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran signed the Anıtkabir Special Notebook and wrote the following in the notebook: “As members and administrators of the Hacettepe University Senate, we bow respectfully to your memory today, and as a university, we are committed to the economic and social development of our country and our nation in the coming decades. We promise to continue our march tirelessly in the light of the values of the Republic and science.”
Hacettepe University, which organizes many events throughout the year as part of its 55th anniversary, also draws attention with its logo specially designed for this year. Celebrations, concerts and festivities will continue in the new academic year and the suite, which was specially composed for the 55th year by Ankara State Conservatory, will be performed for the first time.
