URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Research Laboratory has announced the 2023-2024 World Rankings. In the ranking that evaluates the academic performance of the top 3000 universities worldwide, Hacettepe University is positioned at 554th globally, while maintaining its 1st place in the rankings for Turkey for the past 5 years.
A total of 119 universities from Turkey entered the "Top 3,000 Universities in the World" ranking. In the ranking, 9 Turkish universities are placed in the 501-1000 range.
URAP used 6 academic productivity indicators to rank the world's top 3000 universities:
• Number of Articles: 21%
• Citation Count: 21%
• Total Document Count: 10%
• Total Publication Impact: 18%
• Total Citation Impact: 15%
• International Collaboration: 15%
In the 2023-2024 world rankings, as in the previous year, only articles from high-impact journals in the top 75% quartile (Q1, Q2, and Q3) were included in the ranking calculation for article and citation scores. Articles from journals in the lowest 25% quartile (Q4) and articles from journals with zero impact or yet to be determined were excluded from the evaluation.
