Hosted by Hacettepe University, on September 27, 2023, with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Brad Day, Representative of the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK), and Sean C. Lawrie (J.D.), International Studies and Programs Representative, Representative of Michigan State University (MSU), to promote inter-university collaboration and scientific A meeting was held to support research.
At the meeting, where an important step was taken in terms of the internationalization of Hacettepe University, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held between UTK representative Prof. Dr. Brad Day and our university's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım.
The guests were welcomed at Hacettepe University International Food Biosafety and Biotechnology Research and Publication Center (IFBBC), followed by a presentation about IFBBC activities by Remziye Yılmaz.
At the meeting hosted by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım, presentations were made by Prof. Dr. Brad Day / UTK, Sean C. Lawrie / MSU and Yasemin Yelbay Yılmaz / Hacettepe University External Relations Coordinator, and how cooperation between the three universities could be improved was discussed.
At the meeting, where the 8th anniversary of the cooperation agreement between Hacettepe University and MSU was celebrated, a new cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held with UTK.
To the meeting; Our university's Engineering Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Halil Vural, Food Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ümran Uygun, IFBBC's Remziye Yılmaz, our university's Faculty of Medicine Head of Basic Oncology Department Prof. Dr. Güneş Esendağlı and heads of Engineering Faculty departments attended.
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Selim Sualp Çağlar and Dr. Accompanied by Prof. Dr. Şenay Topaloğlu, Hacettepe University Biological Diversity Research and Application Center (HUBIOM) was visited.
The meeting ended with a dinner hosted by Prof. Dr. Halil Vural.
