On July 24, hosted by Hacettepe University, with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, meetings were held between Muqimiy Nomidagi Qo’qon Davlat Pedagogika İnstituti (Kokand State Pedagogical Institute) and our university in order to strengthen cooperation and make concrete plans based on the academic cooperation memorandum signed in December 2023. The first meeting began with our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran and Kokand State Pedagogical Institute Rector Prof. Dr. Khodjaeva Dilnoza Shavkatovna offering mutual goodwill statements and detailed information about the universities. Then, Kokand State Pedagogical Institute Vice Rectors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kadirova NiGora Abdurashidova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juraev Nurbek Sa'dullaevich and Head of the Joint Educational Programs Department Karshieva Shakhnoza Valievna provided information about their areas of responsibility and suggested areas of cooperation.
Our University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Şefika Şule Erçetin, Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Mirici and Director of the Lifelong Learning Center Prof. Dr. Uğur Sadioğlu also evaluated the suggestions and presented their own suggestions.
As a result of the meeting; opinions were expressed that the first steps regarding joint education programs can be taken with certificate programs, joint cooperation processes can be carried out through a joint scientific board and cooperation can be strengthened with student or faculty exchanges.
The meeting, where mutual gifts were given, ended with Prof. Dr. Khodjaeva Dilnoza Shavkatovna presenting our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran with the Honorary Professorship of their university.
