International pediatric rehabilitation training at Hacettepe University under the Erasmus+ program

The Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy, organized an international training program titled “Blended Intensive Programme (BIP): Innovative Pediatric Rehabilitation Practices: Assessment, Intervention, and Participation” under the Erasmus+ program.

The program, held between March 9-13, 2026, within the framework of Erasmus+, brought together academics and students from different countries participating in KA131 projects to discuss current approaches in pediatric rehabilitation.

The program covered assessment methods, intervention approaches, and participatory practices; academic knowledge sharing and international interaction among participants were supported through lectures, applied workshops, case analyses, and group work.

The academic coordination of the program was carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçen Akyürek, a faculty member of the Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy. Presentations and interactive training sessions by invited academics from different countries contributed to students gaining an interdisciplinary perspective in an international learning environment.

The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) model aims to offer short-term but intensive international educational experiences by combining online and face-to-face learning components. This program, implemented at Hacettepe University, aims to contribute to the university's internationalization vision and the development of academic collaborations.
