Prof. Dr. H. Fadıl Akyol and Dr. Fatih Biltekin from the Department of Radiation Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, at the "ISIF'19 4th International Inventions Fair" competition, which is part of the International Teknofest 2019 events held in Istanbul, received a Silver Medal with their patent named "Vaginal Intensity Modulated Brachytherapy Applicator". Prof. Dr. Ferah Yıldız and Nur Kodaloğlu also won the Bronze Medal with their patent called “Secondary Cancer Risk Reducing Bra”.
