Our vocational schools are gaining strength through accreditation

Hacettepe University Vocational Schools are enhancing their quality education services through institutional efforts and capacity-building activities. Within this scope, four vocational schools offering education in a total of 25 departments at our university are continuing their work with the goal of achieving “full accreditation.” As part of these efforts, from 2025 to the present, a total of 9 more programs have earned accreditation: 2 at ASO 1st OSB Vocational School, 4 at Başkent OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School, 1 at Vocational School of Health Services, and 2 at Vocational School of Social Sciences.

ASO 1st OSB Vocational School Receives Accreditation from MEDEK
The accreditation process for the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Programs at ASO 1st OSB Vocational School began in June 2025. As part of the application submitted by the college to the Association for the Evaluation and Acreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK), inspections were conducted between October 6 and 8, 2025. As a result of these inspections, the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering programs at ASO 1st OSB Vocational School earned full accreditation. 

4 new accreditations from Başkent OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School
Başkent OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School, which continued its accreditation efforts for its programs last year, demonstrated an important sign of confidence for students and stakeholders. As part of the college's efforts, four programs within its structure earned accreditation by certifying their educational quality and professional competence. Following MEDEK's evaluations, the Construction Technology and Computer Programming programs were accredited with a 4-year accreditation certificate, while the Machine and Welding Technology programs were accredited with a 2-year accreditation certificate.

Vocational School of Health Services began 2026 with accreditation
The efforts of vocational schools toward accreditation, which continued in 2025, are ongoing this year as well. The Vocational School of Health Services began 2026 with accreditation. The Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, which conducts educational activities within the school, received full accreditation from MEDEK.

Two programs accredited at the Vocational School of Social Sciences 
Another vocational school that earned accreditation from MEDEK was the Vocational School of Social Sciences. The accreditation application submitted by the vocational school in January 2025 for the Tourism and Hotel Management Program and the Accounting and Tax Applications Program has been finalized. Both programs applied for have been granted short-term accreditation by the association.
