Over a thousand of our students are gaining their first work experience at their own university.

The İŞKUR Youth Program, which enables university students to experience working life, offers internships to young people. Under the program, which is run in collaboration between Hacettepe University and the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and offers students the opportunity to work three days a week, many of our students are gaining their first work experience at Hacettepe University.

As part of the program run by the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment and Hacettepe University, a total of 3,502 internship positions were opened in 8 different programs at our university for the 2025-2026 academic year. Due to high interest, a waiting list was announced for some programs that received more applications than positions available. Following a notary-supervised lottery, 3,152 candidates were granted the right to undertake internships, while 970 candidates were placed on the reserve list.

Of the candidates who earned the right to do an internship under the program, 2,777 applied with their documents. As of February 2026, after excluding those who forfeited their rights, were absent, etc., 1,794 students are actively benefiting from the internship opportunity offered by the program.
