Since 2019, "THE Impact Rankings" have been developed to measure the impacts of universities in social, environmental and social sustainability-related fields in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (UN Sustainable Development Goals). According to THE 2023 Impact Ranking, our University was ranked between 201-300 among 1591 universities worldwide this year.
THE 2023 Impact Rankings included 1591 universities from 112 countries. According to THE 2023 Impact Ranking, which is among the prestigious academic rating institutions of the world, the total score of our University has increased compared to the previous year. Our University, which had a total score of 78.5 in 2022, increased its total score to 80.5 in 2023. Although the number of universities that entered the evaluation has increased (181 new institutions), the increase in the overall score of our University is an important indicator of success.
THE 2023 Impact Ranking includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While Hacettepe University presented data under 5 main titles in 2022, it presented data under 7 main titles in 2023 and provided data under 2 more main titles for impact ranking this year compared to last year.

SDGs and Rankings of Our University in 2022 – 2023
The status of our university in THE 2023 Impact Ranking can be summarized as follows;
• Our University maintained its position in the previous year by being ranked in the band 201-300 under overall rank.
• Our university has increased in the ranking band in SDG 3, SDG 10 and SDG 17 compared to 2022.
• Our university has succeeded in being the only Turkish University in the top 100 in the title of Gender Equality (SDG 5).
• Our university has made a great leap forward in SDG 10 compared to previous years and has increased from the 301-400 band to the 101-200 band.
• Our university has maintained its ranking range from last year by being in the band 101-200 in SDG 16.
• For the first time, data were presented by our university under the titles of SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) in 2023. While it is in the 101-200 band in the SDG 4, it is in the 85th place in the SDG 9.
