The invited research project titled "Comparative Analysis of Face-to-face Teaching and Distance Education in the Pandemic Period in Terms of Academic Success and Education Management System Interactions, Online Monitoring System Development and Big Data-Based Policy Suggestions" carried out by Hacettepe University academics has concluded. Three reports prepared within the scope of the project and a dashboard where our university faculty members can examine various metrics related to the distance education process were presented on the website analitik.hacettepe.edu.tr developed within the scope of the project.
The data sets of grade distributions and Teaching Management System activities in the courses of undergraduate and associate degree programs carried out throughout the university were used in the study, which focused on the 2020-2021 Fall semester, when teaching was carried out entirely in distance methods due to the COVID-19 epidemic. While the grade changes discussed the comparison of the 2020-2021 Fall semester with the semesters before and after it, the Instructional Management System data of the 2020-2021 Fall semester, consisting of more than 5 million lines, was used within the scope of the analysis.
The titles of the reports prepared within the scope of this project supported by Hacettepe University Scientific Research Coordination Unit are as follows:
1. Analysis of Changes in Student Grades for 2019-2020 Fall and 2020-2021 Fall Semesters
2. Analysis of the 2020-2021 Fall Semester Teaching Management System
3. 2020-2021 Fall Semester Distance Education Management System and Student Grades Analysis
A summary report describing the work in the entire project process is also available on the relevant page.
With the conclusion of the project and the beginning of the new era after the Covid-19 epidemic, the name and address of Hacettepe University Distance Education Portal evdekal.hacettepe.edu.tr was also updated as Hacettepe University Digital Learning Platform hadi.hacettepe.edu.tr.
