Ella&Pitr, one of the influential representatives of French urban art, participated in a talk titled "Urban Art" held at our university on May 2nd, where they came upon the invitation of Institut français Turkey and within the scope of the tamART guest artist program. Following the talk, the artists, who performed together with our university's Faculty of Fine Arts students, created a giant fresco that continued until May 6th.
A FIRST IN TURKEY
The giant fresco created on the 3 thousand square meter parking lot in Beytepe Campus is one of Ella&Pitr's first open-air works in Turkey. This work, titled "A Sense of Wonder", which is part of the artists' well-known "Sleeping Giants" series, tells the story of a child who feels safe in his parents' arms.
