Hacettepe University Hospitals are proud to be accredited for the 6th time

Hacettepe University Hospitals were found successful in line with the new standards and updates of Joint Commission International (JCI) that came into effect as of January 1, 2025, as a result of the inspections carried out between April 14-19, 2025.

JCI is considered one of the most prestigious accreditation institutions that determine quality in healthcare worldwide, aiming to take patient safety and service quality to the highest level. Hacettepe University Hospitals took its first step in this field in 2004 and became the “First Public University Hospital” in Turkey to receive JCI accreditation with its Adult Hospital in 2007. This success was followed by İhsan Doğramacı Children's Hospital and Oncology Hospital in 2011.

The hospital management emphasized that the re-accreditation process is an indicator of the sustainable quality approach in healthcare services and made the following statement:

“The quality and accreditation studies in healthcare, which are carried out in line with national and international standards in our hospitals, have gained a new dimension with the newly added standards and updates within the scope of the “Joint Commission International (JCI) Hospital Accreditation Standards and Academic Medical Center Hospitals Standards” that entered into force on January 1, 2025.
We are proud to leave another milestone behind in our quality journey together. Thanks to the devoted contributions, disciplined work and determination of all our colleagues in the re-accreditation process, we have added this important success to our institutional memory once again.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the effort, patience and cooperation shown by our chief physicians and directorates in this process, and we would like to express our belief that we will continue to work with the same determination to provide a stronger, higher quality and sustainable healthcare service together.”
