Labor and loyalty meeting in Hacettepe

The “Years of Service Award Ceremony,” organized for academic and administrative staff members of Hacettepe University who have served for 35, 40, or 45 years and those retired due to age limit, was held on May 7th at the "M Hall" on the Sıhhiye Campus in two sessions at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by a musical performance by the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. The opening speech was delivered by the Rector of Hacettepe University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran. In his address, he stated:
“Today, as the Hacettepe University family, we have gathered here to honor our esteemed members who have served our university for 35 years and more, to express our gratitude to them, and to demonstrate our institutional loyalty. The strength of an institution lies not only in its buildings, its technology, or its resources. It is in the human capital that creates, sustains, and advances it. If Hacettepe University is today one of the most established and respected higher education institutions in our country, it is largely due to your hard work, dedication, and selfless efforts. 35, 40, and 45 years are not just spans of time—they are the embodiment of how an ideal, a profession, and an institution are upheld with determination. These years are the numerical reflections of patience, loyalty, labor, and belief. Thanks to you, Hacettepe has become more than a university. It has become a family, a tradition, and an identity.”

The ceremony concluded with Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran presenting certificates of service to the staff who served for 35, 40, and 45 years and those retired due to age limit, followed by a commemorative photo session with the honorees.
