Bekir Ediz DEMİRCAN, Ömer Nevzat ERTAN, Anıl DURHAN, Serkan KAVAKLI and Alminanur DİNLER, undergraduate 2nd and 3rd students of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Department of Theater, participated in the 2nd “Turkish World Student Performances Theater Festival” in Baku on May 19-23, 2024, in cooperation with TÜRKSOY and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, as representatives of schools providing art education in Turkey, and were deemed worthy of the “Best Duet” award with their play titled “Gişe”. The play, staged on May 21, 2024, received a standing ovation for minutes by the festival participants and members of the press. In the interview held after the play, the audience made our team proud with their words of praise. On July 5, 2024, Ankara State Conservatory Director Prof. Dr. Metin MUNZUR, Head of the Acting Department Assoc. Prof. Ayşe DAĞISTANLI PARLAR, faculty member Murat ATAK and the “Gişe” play team visited Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit GÜRAN and presented the awards received by our students.
