Our university's Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, together with our university's Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Uğur Sadioğlu, visited KKTC President Ersin Tatar. President Ersin Tatar, who hosted our university administrators in his office, stated that he was pleased to receive our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran in his speech during the visit and emphasized the importance of the institutional relations established by the Republic of Turkey with the KKTC.
President Tatar, who expressed his happiness that a university such as Hacettepe University, one of the deep-rooted universities of the Republic of Turkey, is sharing its experiences with the KKTC, said, “The Turkish Cypriot people are struggling for their existence in the KKTC, which is an inseparable part of the Turkish nation. Your contributions make significant contributions to our struggle.”
Tatar said that the two states are ready to continue the dialogue with the other side on the basis of cooperation and are ready for any project that will benefit both parties.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran also stated that they were in the KKTC due to the protocol made with the Public Service Commission, said that they would sign a protocol with the Eastern Mediterranean University and expressed his pleasure in visiting President Tatar. Güran emphasized the importance of the well-being of the Turkish Cypriot people for the Republic of Turkey, and added that they would continue to defend and contribute to the Turkish world thesis until the end.
