An important step in university–industry collaboration

The “Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol,” signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) with the aim of strengthening university–private sector collaboration and enhancing the quality of vocational education, was implemented through the joint contributions of the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) and Ankara’s leading universities.

Within this framework, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ankara Chamber of Industry and Hacettepe University Başkent Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School, Ankara University GAMA Vocational School, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, and Gazi University TUSAŞ Vocational School.

The signing ceremony, hosted by Ankara Chamber of Industry Board Chairman Seyit Ardıç, was attended by our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, as well as the directors of the respective vocational schools.

The signed protocol is expected to contribute to strengthening university–industry collaboration through a concrete and sustainable model and to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of vocational education by equipping students with the skills needed to enter the labor market as well-prepared individuals.
