A cooperation protocol was signed between Hacettepe University and Yapı Kredi Bankası on 30 September 2024, regarding payment and access systems within the scope of the E-Campus Project.
The E-Campus Project aims to provide financial advantages to Hacettepe University students and employees, improve the operation of the infrastructure and systems such as identity control, access, payment, etc. used in Hacettepe University Campuses and facilities, ensure data integration, enable the systems used to operate more efficiently and at lower costs, and provide solutions suitable for the cashless campus perspective.
Within the scope of the protocol, Hacettepe University Students and Hacettepe University Personnel will be able to open an account at Yapı Kredi Bankası or use their existing accounts to make their payments digitally via the World Pay payment method in the BANK applications (Yapı Kredi Mobile, World Mobile). For students and staff who make payments via the World Pay system from Hacettepe University Student Cafeterias and Officers' Dining Halls, the fee for one meal out of every five they eat in the same month will be refunded to the relevant person's account or card (Beşe Bir Campaign). Thus, the Bank provides an advantage of approximately 20% in meal payments made using World Pay. Those who do not want to open a bank account will be able to make payments by loading money onto their cards from kiosks with their ID cards provided by our University, as in the current practice. Those who prefer to make payments in this way and do not use Bank payment instruments will not be able to benefit from the Beşe Bir Campaign.
Within the scope of the protocol, students and staff will not be charged an account opening fee, an account management fee, and if requested, a card fee for a bank (debit) card, an annual fee, and any fees, expenses or payments under any other name for these cards or the use of these cards. Yapı Kredi Bank will offer at least 1 free credit card product for the credit card use of those who will use the Payment System, and if a different credit card type is preferred than the free credit card offered, the Bank's standard practices will apply.
With the said Protocol, the payment system in our University's cafeterias will be renewed without spending from the University budget, kept active 24/7, the integration and maintenance of transition systems such as dormitories and libraries, the integration of the identity recognition system in personnel services, and the installation of license plate recognition systems in Beytepe and Sıhhiye campuses will be provided.
