Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra had their season final concert of the 2023-24 concert season with a fantastic on May 22, 2024, themed "SPRING CONCERT", with arias, overtures, duets and Neapolitans.
The orchestra under the direction of conductor Rengim Gökmen, T.R. Ministry of Culture Ankara State Opera and Ballet artists accompanied soprano Görkem Ezgi Yıldırım and tenor Emre Akkuş. Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra artists and students also took part in the works. The orchestra staff consisting of Ankara State Conservatory faculty members and students, T.R. Ministry of Culture Presidential Symphony Orchestra was supported by cellists Yaz Irmak and Yusuf Çelik. Popular works by Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Brahms and Lehar were performed at the concert.
Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. The closing concert, which was attended by Mehmet Cahit Güran's wife, Mrs. Şerife Güran, and attracted great interest, was greatly appreciated by the audience. Addressing the audience at the end of the concert, Prof. Rengim Gökmen announced that the concert season is over, but the works and rehearsals will continue, and they will be in front of the audience with colorful and exclusive programs next season.
