Lecturer Özge Nur Toprak, a PhD student in the Department of Zoology within the Department of Biology at our university’s Graduate School of Science and Engineering, has been appointed as an Ambassador for the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR). Appointed to this position within EACR — which boasts more than 14,000 members worldwide — Toprak aims to enhance international scientific collaborations, promote translational cancer research, and offer new opportunities to young researchers on a global scale.
Aiming to increase international collaboration and visibility in the field of cancer research, the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) has included Lecturer Özge Nur Toprak, a PhD student in the Department of Zoology within the Department of Biology at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, in its Ambassador team.
With her newly selected ambassadorial role, Lecturer Özge Nur Toprak will contribute to the dissemination of translational cancer research by building bridges across institutions and disciplines.
As part of her new role, our PhD student will undertake the promotion of travel grants, research funding, and international events offered by EACR to the scientific community. Furthermore, she aims to support early-career researchers and students working in the field of oncology in making their voices heard on global platforms, as well as strengthening cross-border scientific communication.
