Hacettepe University continues to contribute to national and international scientific studies with its competent academic staff. Prof. Dr. Aslı Özkök Saban, a faculty member in the Biology Department, has been selected as a national expert trainer for the "Empowering rural women and youth through a diversified rural economy for sustainable rural development in Düzce Province" project, supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The project, scheduled for completion in 2026, aims to develop rural beekeeping in Düzce.
Training sessions will be announced worldwide
FAO has a special interest in the project, which is being carried out with the support of the Düzce Governorate and the Düzce Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Among the videos to be released globally as part of FAO's 80th anniversary celebrations are training sessions organized as part of the project. The training sessions, recorded by the FAO communications team and planned to be shared globally, will contribute to the promotion of beekeeping in Türkiye.
