Subject rankings in THE World University Rankings by Subject are based on 13 performance indicators used in THE World University Rankings 2023, while the method used has been recalibrated for main and sub-topics.
Hacettepe University, which succeeded in ranking in 8 of 11 main topics in 2023, ranked first among Turkish universities by placing in the 301-400 band in the world ranking in 2023 in the main topic of Clinical and Health.
Hacettepe University maintained its place in the ranking compared to the previous year in the main topics of Engineering (801-1000) and Life Sciences (601-800). In 2023, our university succeeded in ranking in the main titles of Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences.
While our university was in the range of 201-250 in 2022 in the main subject of Education, although it regressed to the band range of 301-400 in 2023, it preserved its place in the 3rd place among Turkish universities.
While our university was included in the world ranking again by being placed in the 801-1000 band under the Chemical Engineering sub-topic under Engineering, it entered the world ranking for the first time with 1001+ in the sub-topics of Physics, Astronomy and Geology, and Environmental, Earth and Marine Sciences under the Physical Sciences sub-topic.
