Within the scope of "TUBİTAK 4008 - Inclusive Science and Social Practices Support Programme for Individuals with Special Needs", it was decided to support 68 of the 618 projects presented for the 2nd Term of 2023. In this context, the project titled "Developing Horticultural Therapy Awareness and Examining its Effect in Children with Specific Learning Disabilities, Their Parents and Teachers", led by Ezginur Gündoğmuş, Research Assistant in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, was entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4008 projects.
Sinem Kars, a Research Assistant in the Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy and also Sıhhiye Campus Research Assistant Representative, Psychologist Dilan Gündoğmuş, and Landscape Architect Zeynep Hünerel are members of project team. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Meral Huri, a faculty member of the Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy, is the project consultant.
Within the scope of the project, theoretical training will be given to individuals with specific learning disabilities, their parents and teachers, field work and application workshops will be held, and an exhibition will be held at Ankara Kavaklıdere Secondary School at the end of the project.
