Two significant achievements from our university in the field of neuroscience

In the “Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç Neuroscience Incentive Award”, our university’s academic staff members Prof. Dr. Erhan Türkoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Hanalioğlu, along with our graduate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Burcu Hazer Rosberg, achieved the distinction of being named finalists.

The “Prof. Dr. Türker Kılıç Neuroscience Incentive Award”, organised by the Turkish Neurosurgery Society and the Turkish Brain Foundation, brought together the award recipients. The award ceremony, hosted by İstinye University at the Vadi Main Campus Congress Centre, was attended by Prof. Dr. Garry Jacobs, President of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences; Prof. Dr. Stefan Brunnhuber, Senator of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts; as well as specialist physicians, academics and numerous students. A total of 16 applications were submitted for the award, which honours scientists whose scientific integrity, surgical skills and research credentials will illuminate the field of neuroscience in the years to come. Hacettepe University faculty members Prof. Dr Erhan Türkoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr Şahin Hanalioğlu, along with our graduate Assoc. Prof. Dr Derya Burcu Hazer Rosberg, achieved the distinction of being among the six finalists in the competition and were awarded medals. The competition finalists were each awarded 100,000 Turkish lira.
